Welcome to Jumping Beans

We are a charity run preschool that runs from the Parkland Infant School site. We aim to provide a secure environment to which all our children can flourish and in which all contributions are valued. We accommodate children from the age of 2 to 5 years old and we are open from 9 am to 3pm Monday to Friday term time only.

It is our intention to make sure our preschool is accessible to children and families from all sections of the local community. We are proud of our facility and Ofsted rating of "Good".

"Staff engage children in purposeful play that reflects their interests and abilities. Staff challenge and extend children so they make good progress in their learning." Quoted directly from our last Ofsted report which can be found online.

Please feel free to give us a call to discuss your childcare needs and to arrange a visit and see our spacious rooms and outside facilities. We look forward to meeting you and your family.

Val

Manager

I have been working at Jumping Beans since 2004. During this time I have implemented lots of changes. I started my journey in a church hall working mornings only, in 2007 I won a tender for us to move to Parkland Infant School.  We were given a room that needed a lot of modification. I was lucky to win a radio competition called the Roc challenge. This gave us the manpower to make the changes we needed. The committee also raised the funds to put a new conservatory on to this area.

our numbers have grow over the years and we now have two rooms within the school, little beans 2-3 year olds and big beans 3-4 year olds. Big beans share the garden space with the reception children and we have regular forest school activities.

I have been working in the childcare sector since 2001 were I started as a pre school visitor for East Sussex.

I achieved a B.A. in professional Learning and development in childcare in 2015. I am also trained in First Aid,  Child protection and SENCO.

I have two wonderful teenage children.

Jane

I am the Deputy Manager and room lead of Little Beans, where I have worked since 2001. When my youngest son began at pre-school I helped out on the committee and decided to get qualified in childcare. Over the years I have been trained in many areas, SENCO, First Aid and Child Protection.

At home I enjoy gardening and I am currently attempting to grow my own vegetables. My two sons are grow up now so my husband and I spend time relaxing and seeing our family and friends.
